It’s always a pleasure to meet Fitzwilliam readers at our in-person events. So I’m delighted to announce that we will be running our first meetup outside Europe… in San Francisco.
It will be on October 20th, beginning at 3pm.
We’re very fortunate to be hosting the event at The Interval, which is a beautiful space owned by the Long Now Foundation. The venue includes the prototype of the Long Now Clock, an experimental clock designed by Brian Eno and Stewart Brand that won’t chime for 10,000 years. (You can see some of the other quirky features of the Interval in this Twitter thread.)
We’ve always had a disproportionate number of Californian readers, especially in San Francisco. And for good or for ill, my friend group is one giant pipeline of O1 visas (“every startup needs a soulful Irish boy whose job is empathizing with the users”).
We will have several special guests, including the editors of Works in Progress magazine, and some other familiar bloggers and podcasters. Drinks will be covered.
I look forward to seeing you there. You can RSVP here. We only have a limited number of spots left, so if you can’t go anymore, please release your spot for someone else.
